With URSI, part of the money is donated back to the Andean Bear migratory ​chain that is also being utilized as a new and evolving demonstration of ​conservation models that integrate ethnobotanical knowledge of intact ​forest systems that also retain biodiversity like the Andean bear whose ​habitat is under threat. It is remembering that forests must remain havens for ​discovered and undiscovered plants that not only sequester carbon in our ​ever-warming climate but also house invaluable plants that aid in human ​healing. We are investing in new and old models - supported by allies and ​friends in both the scientific and indigenous world. We advocate for a ​biodiverse world where we can create healing products that work in tandem ​with nature and communities to honor earth and environment.
