Ursi.co | Nature-Based Elemental Goods for Daily Life
Fire, Mineral, Air & Water.
From lighting botanical lamp oils to sauna sprays rooted in the Scandinavian ritual of löyly, plant-powered mists that protect without chemicals, and our forthcoming “Salt for Community,” each product is crafted with the intelligence of nature and the rhythm of daily life.
Our intention is simple: to weave nature back into the small gestures that shape how we live — illumination, daily showers, sharing salt, and reconnecting with the elemental world around us.
Ursi.co is a return to what’s essential in daily life, informed by the natural world.
About Ursi
Ursi, meaning “bear” in Latin, is a symbol of wisdom and deep connection to the wild. Across cultures, the bear is seen as a guardian of sacred plant knowledge, a bridge between the earth and the unseen. Ursi was founded to honor nature’s intelligence through elemental products and practices that rekindle our relationship with the natural world.
Founded by filmmaker and conservationist Catherine Yrisarri, Ursi.co is a fusion of ecology, storytelling, and nature-based products. From the Arctic ice shelf to the forests of Ecuador, her work has explored the relationship between people, our natural world and the planet. Ursi extends this vision—offering elemental products that reconnect us to nature while actively supporting reforestation, biodiversity conservation and community.
A portion of our profits helps restore critical ecosystems, ensuring that the beauty of the natural world continues to illuminate our lives.
Why Biodiverse Ecosystems Matter
With URSI, part of the money is donated back to the Andean Bear migratory chain that is also being utilized as a new and evolving demonstration of conservation models that integrate ethnobotanical knowledge of intact forest systems that also retain biodiversity like the Andean bear whose habitat is under threat. It is remembering that forests must remain havens for discovered and undiscovered plants that not only sequester carbon in our ever-warming climate but also house invaluable plants that aid in human healing. We are investing in new and old models - supported by allies and friends in both the scientific and indigenous world. We advocate for a biodiverse world where we can create healing products that work in tandem with nature and communities to honor earth and environment.
